Ontario conducted its latest draw on October 19, 2018. A total of 439 candidates were invited to apply for provincial nomination.

The candidates were chosen from the Skilled Trades stream. This was the highest invites issued in the Skilled Trades Stream by Ontario in 2018.

Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream – Ontario

The Skilled Trades Stream is a part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It allows skilled trades workers with work experience in an eligible trade to apply for Permanent Residency through the federal Express Entry immigration system. Successful applicants will be able to settle down permanently in Ontario!

To apply for OINP Skilled Trades Stream, candidates have to meet the following requirements:

• Have a valid profile in the federal Express Entry pool;
• Be qualified for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC);
• Have a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in English or in French, etc.

Please note there is no minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score necessary to apply in this stream.
